Yes, I stayed up after the Oscars to watch the final installment reair at midnight. What? Do I own it on video? Um, how is that relevant, exactly?
7. Random encounter over billiards (Mr. Darcy in his shirtsleeves. His shirtsleeves!)
6. Dance at Netherfield before the fam blows it all to hell
5. The Look at Pemberley when Elizabeth's at the piano
4. Elizabeth steps out of the woods onto the grounds at Netherfield, hem six inches deep in mud. (See Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason for Colin Firth's stage directions.)
3. Ill-fated but really hot proposal at Hunsford
2. Tub, pitcher of water, window, dog, and stick. Does that sound dirty? I can't tell.
1. 2 words. Lake scene.

movies nominated for any oscars at all that i have actually seen
1. Atonement (so pretty and so tragic)
2. Juno (snarky and touching)
3. Charlie Wilson's War (Aaron Sorkin! Less self-indulgent than Studio 60!)
4. Ratatouille (cute and funny)
5. Sweeney Todd (thank goodness did not eat beforehand)
6. 3:10 to Yuma (I hate posses!)
7. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (long-winded and ultimately not satisfying)
8. Transformers (sadly I am not longing for my 1980s boyhood)
I know. No one is more shocked than I am that I haven't seen The Golden Compass, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, or Enchanted. Will rectify with DVDs. Also maybe some of the movies that actually won, or something.

reasons why it didn't work the last time
1. I suck at keeping journals
2. No, I really really do.
3. I like the idea of writing a journal/blog more than I like actually doing it, apparently.
4. My inspiration for new projects is generally short-lived
5. But you know what they say, try, try again
Kate's lovely Secret Santa gift, Listography: Your Life in Lists has (re)inspired me. We'll see how it goes.
